#6 – Go curling

We’ve been told we should try curling a number of times, so on the list it went. My friend Trevor is a curler and was able to get us ice at the High Park Club, and offered to teach us.  Adam has curled before, and I never have (I may have referenced Trevor as one who “plays curling” yesterday).  So we wrangled up two teams and went for it.  My brother Eric and I were the first to wipe out as we tried throwing a rock for the first time (Eric managed to end up flat on his front, and I was on my butt a foot off the launcher bit).  Otherwise, everyone stayed on their feet and we had a great time.

Thank you to Trevor for teaching us and setting up the ice time, and to Sara, Jamie, Eric, Will and Sam for joining in the fun!

Details; High Park Club is at 100 Indian Road.  Information about membership and group events can be found here.

  1. Loving your pages, having just returned from 6 months travel I decided to make a list of 50 things to do this year! Not quite the 100 you’re aiming for! Looking forward to seeing you tick things off your list, might nick a few ideas for myself 🙂
