#50 – Family photo booth photos

These photo booth strips are from way back in the summer.  We had planned to hit them up again before the year was done, but since we are in full on oh-shit-four-days-left-of-the-year mode, we’re just sticking with these.

One strip is from the California wedding we attended, when poor Henry was as jet lagged as could be and about 4 hours past his normal bedtime, so he was a baby zombie.  The second was at The Drake Hotel here in Toronto, and that was when we discovered Henry is scared of photo booths.

#62 – Monthly baby photos

Last week was Henry’s first birthday (which is crazy, cause I swear he was born two months ago…except it feels like I haven’t slept in 5 years, so…), and Halloween so we knocked just a ton of stuff off.  I am going to try to get up to date this week; there are still things to post about we did in February, plus last week’s celebration extravaganza.

Every month I took these photos.  I was determined, which is good, because around month seven Henry was pretty determined not to do them (you’ll notice the increase in distraction props).  But I am so, so glad we have them, it’s amazing to look back and read the update I wrote with each photo with his likes, dislikes, emerging personality traits and milestones.

#55 – Join Chatbooks

So this might be one of our favourite (FAVOURITE) thing we’ve discovered this year.  Chatbooks is an app that makes photo books for you.  They have different photo book options, but the one that Adam and I love, love, love is the Instagram Subscription.  It links directly to my Instagram account, and automatically adds any photo I upload to a book.  Once there are 60 photos, that book is full and it gets sent to me.  ALL AUTOMATICALLY.  I don’t have to do a darn thing, but there are options to exclude photos from the books and edit captions or locations.  The settings include options about whether or not to print captions, locations, date.  For this busy mama, it’s honestly just the best.  And the very best part?  It’s only $6 a book, but only until the next upgrade (which is happening tomorrow), when the price goes up to $8 a book.  Still reasonable, still awesome, but the $6 will be grandfathered in for the next two years for anyone who subscribes before the upgrade.  Oh, and use the code GRANDPA to get the first two Instagram books free.  Do it!  You won’t be disappointed.

(We truly love our Chatbooks, seriously love them.  I know this reads like an #ad, but it really isn’t.  We just really love them.)

#91 – Mail Christmas cards

When Henry was just over two weeks old, we did a family photo session with the amazing Scarlet O’Neill.  Adam used a couple of the images from that day and created a few different holiday cards.
